Christopher Leger is a licensed attorney in Washington D.C. His passion is technology, which he sees as a revolution already in progress. Communication, activism, interaction, and education are all in flux during this revolution, and given the proper legal and legislative encouragement, more people can benefit more quickly than with any other development in history. This intersection of legal, regulatory, and technological issues is the defining issue of the era.
There is a dramatic misunderstanding of both the positives and negatives of technology and its applications within the political sphere, and only by offering to communicate with the political leadership will legislation truly reflect technological realities. This website is dedicated to the empowerment of individual rights within the digital space. Profit-driven corporate interests and well-intentioned but ill-conceived legislation currently dominate the digital space, and only by giving voice to the concerns of the individual will these rights be preserved for future generations. It is only by keeping and developing robust protections of individual rights within the digital space will the promise of technology be fully realized.
Christopher is trying to practice what he preaches, hosting this website on a Linux server, using the open-source WordPress software to develop the site, and licensing all content on this page under the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike License. He is OS agnostic at home however, running one Ubuntu Linux server, one Vista machine, one OSX machine, and one Asus Eee-PC running the ubuntu netbook remix.
